Oscars Fashion Review! FT. @Mr.Mitrano (Bilingual)

27 Feb

The Academy awards in the past used to be a bit boring to the public eye. Nevertheless this year was an exception to that pattern. The show was fun and it reached very elaborate production levels that kept the TV public entertained. Placing that tiny improvement to the side, what has made this famous award ceremony important is its Red Carpet, and agreeing with Mr. Mitrano (Who is leads the direction of this post) even with dull colors the Charmed that each designs give to this award ceremony makes it glam and fun at the same time.

MM: Gywneth Paltrow by Tom Ford, many of us thought she was going go out flying with that super cape, but there wasn’t anything more perfect and fashionable that that Tom Ford wore by Paltrow. To fashion lovers this dress was only seen at a private show room, due to the confidentiality that characterizes the designer attitude at time to exhibit his dresses, but overall it was totally stunning.

G: I couldn’t agree more, and I think that that’s a dress that only Paltrow can wear with innate elegance. It’s a very her style and without a doubt it was one of the bests of the night.

MM: Jessica Chastain by Alexander McQueen, perfect and boring at the same time, where was the stylist that dressed her in The Help? She needs him.

G: Oh I thought the same, at first I really didn’t understood this dress and I think that knowing it was McQueen that helped me understand the ensemble of the outfit, I loved her hair but I think she lacked glam! Maybe a more emblematic piece of Jewelry, I don’t know.

MM: Rooney Mara by Givency, was one of the Artist I looked forward the most seeing, I wanted to see what she looked like dress as a lady. She is not my favorite but I cant deny she looked faboosh.

G: I know she is a good actress, I know she carries that indy-darks style but to be honest it didn’t do it for me the way she wore that Givenchy dress… although the dress itself was a dream.

MM: Octavia Spencer by Todashi Shoji, was dress to win, absolutely right! But if I had her face-to-face I would of probably washed her hair…

G: I simply agree with everything, although I wouldn’t have washed my self… maybe send someone to do it.

MM: Jennifer Lopez by Zuhair Murad, her body and attitude has written all over IM DIVORCE! No need to show your nipples to have people want to sleep with you… someone please tell her… Still Fantastic!

G: Oh yep! She was a bit “IM SINGLE AND READY TO MINGLE” but I dig it, plus her make-artist is fantastic.

MM: Michelle Williams by Louis Vuitton, I love it when lesbians dress amazing, but this is the typical case of “She was dress by Louis Vuitton by Mar Jacobs” because the dress carried her dull and unexpressive face.

G: Is she a Lesbian? Well regardless I did love the dress and the pink snake clutch, but your right she is the personification of the Grey Area.

MM: Emma Stone by Giambattista Valli, here we see a woman wearing the dress and not the dress wearing her, and although she was a bit criticize because her dress looked like the Balenciaga one that wore Nicole Kidman a couple of years back, she knew how to say that the second time was wore best!

Favorite.

G: It didn’t do it for me, I thought too much of a mature dress for her. I would of like to see her in something younger, more colorful! A bit more Hip!

MM: Cameron Diaz by Gucci, difficult to stand up next to J.Lo and still Shine.

G: Something happened to her. She lost her Mojo I think! The dress was jaw dropping beautiful, but all together in her looked a bit boring.

MM: Milla Jovovich by Elie Saab, Stunning, Perfection! But at a point I thought laser eyes where going to come out of her eyes.

G: hahaha she is a bit Avant Garde, even in her physical and personal appearance, but I think she looked incredible. Elie Saab tend to overwhelmed me, but she looked sexy, elegant and with lots of fashion power.

HERMOSA FAVORITA!

MM: Angelina Jolie by Versace, a red carpet without Angelina is not complete, but people talked more about her legs than her dress… at a point I thought her vagina was going to come out and say: Jennifer Anisto, Bard Pitt its mine!

G: hahaha I loved it!, I thought she looked sublime, she carried the sexiness with elegance and sobriety yet she never bored me! BEAUTIFUL AND FAVORITE!

No entendí nada.

MM: Viola Davis by Vera Wang, its important to be friends with whoever is going to dress you, I imagine that Viola now knows that Vera Wang hates her.

G: I think that the academy changed Best Female Actress award after they saw how badly dress she was. I just didn’t get it.

MM: Meryl Streep by Lavin, Stunning! The dress had a matching effect with her Oscar, a bit too much cleavage for her age.

G: Meryl is Meryl, yesterday I read a tweet that said “Silent Meryl speaking”… I think she knows how to look like a winner when she deserves it. It didn’t bother me the cleavage, she was a diva and it was her night.

MM: Natalie Portman by Dior, all night long I waited for little red riding hood to be eaten by the wolf, so I could stop seeing this dress.

G: I loved it but I would of like seeing something more fun on her, kind of like Reese the year after she won her Oscar, very simple but fun and elegant. She is beautiful and I love her, maybe that partiality doesn’t help my judgment.

MM: Glenn Close by Zac Posen, prefiero verla vestida de hombre.

G: Algo sin duda estaba mal.

MM: Glenn Close by Zac Posen, I preferred seeing her dress as a man.

G: Yep something was off no doubts!

MM: Berenice Bejo by Elie Saab, most of the time when u try too hard, it comes out wrong! She definitely tried too hard!

G: she looked like a under the sea creature with that hair and make up and the dress was not fit for the award show.

MM: Tina Fey by Carolina Herrera, what I like the most was that it was a Carolina Herrera dress, what I dislike the most was the she wore it. Someone else should of.

G: Couldn’t agree more, that lady does not know how to wear something elegant, she lacks presence, posture, confidence… the dress itself beautiful no doubt.

MM: Sandra Bullock by Marchesa, as always she looks uncomfortable in an evening gown, she is like that bride that wears her wedding dress with converses shoes.

G: yep, its like she is annoyed to get ready for the awards… my advice to look at it as if she was wearing a costume, maybe like that she will learn to wear a dress! Because that dress was very cute.

MM: Stacey Keibler by Marchesa, she is such a good girlfriend, that she was dress as an Oscar just so Clooney didn’t feel bad about loosing to Jean DuJardin.

G: to me she looked like a Barbie Doll, the dressed fit her perfectly and the color overshined in the carpet, but your right she as George’s perfect consolation price.

MM: Missi Pule’s by Delfino, important to have a Venezuelan designer in the most important red carpet of the world, and even though it took complete days to finished this dress I thing the color should being different.

G: Carolina Herrera it’s a Venezuelan designer very present in this type of awards, but it’s always a pride to have a new talent. I think I agree with the color note, eventhough it’s very spring-ish it looked a bit dull and the trend of this red carpet were more sober-neutral colors.

(This was the only Eco-Friendly dress made out of organic fabric and colored with mineral substances).

MM: Giuliana Rancic by Tony Ward, this is the first time I can see Giuliana looked beautiful before she going on criticize people in a Fashion Police, but a bit too dramatic her dress, she was missing her ice skating boots to go on a show.

G: I read that opinion somewhere else, but to me she was truly beautiful, well dressed, excellent make up and I loved her hair style. I loved her.

MM: Shailene Woodley by Valentino, a woman that knows how dress, remembers her aged at the time to do it and there is nothing worse than a dress that makes you look older than you are.

G: personally I love the dress and I think someone like Nicole Richie will looked better (an expert at wearing 60s and 70s cut and making them look glam) in this girl sadly you are right, the dress does not go with her aged and it lacks style.

I think that we talked about who deserved to be talk of. Maybe we are a bit short of certain favorites but we focus on talking of whoever had more relevance in this award season. At the end the opinions and criticism of my dear Gian Luca Mitrano (Mr.Mitrano) turned out to be not only right but very clever  and fun. I am your humble server who based her opinions in his elaborate and well studied observations. Honor and Happy of this collaboration! Hope you enjoy.
