The Good of Venezuela in the 2011

This post will only be in English as the video is self-explanatory in Spanish.

It shows all the great accomplishments Venezuela have had this year mostly in sports, beauty pageants and well the great achievement of Maickel Melamed to finished the NYC marathon, he is an athlete with development problems within his bones and muscles since he was born, but regardless he has always managed to achieve all of his goals!

As the video says, Venezuela not only is the country of baseball, but now we are becoming a figure when it comes to soccer as we defeated world champion Argentina 1 to 0 in the last eliminatory game for the world cup. Also golf was a triumph this year and we won over seventeen medals in the Panamerican games.

I do live in a great country… wished soon to live in a democratic safe one!

Merry Christmas!

And Christmas sort of came by real fast this year… maybe its all the work but at least that’s how I felt it was…  Nevertheless its always a fantastic time. Although I always feel the need for a colder weather during the holidays, Christmas Eve felt very Chritsmas-ish… Maybe it was the turkeys my mom made, the décor my boo put up or the fact that everyone was well dressed, but the night was very cozy and filled with happiness and love!

As for my outfit I wore a black mini skirt, with an over skirt in its back dress from Zara, Michael Kors sandals, vintage bejewel waist belt and jewelry accessories from Venezuelan designer SEPTIMO Jewelry… The two snake rings came in different colors one in raw dark silver, the other one in a green gold which I decided to match together in order to create a more impacting effect in my hand. The Designer, Silvia Fassardi, who lives in Miami and who is recognized among high fashion personalities such as Carolina Herrera, only sells her products in Venezuela at a concept store in Valencia, which to me is a little piece of heaven on earth, named Fatua @Fatuavalencia – http://fatua.com.ve .

Y la Navidad vino y paso un poco rápido, a lo mejor es todo el trabajo que he tenido pero sentí que fue una Navidad un poco relámpago… Sin embargo siempre la Navidad es una época fantástica.

Aunque siempre necesito cierto frio para de verdad sentir las fechas decembrinas, esta Navidad se sintió muy Navideña. Puede que fue todo los pavos y la rica comida que preparo mi Mami o las decoraciones que colocamos para crear un ambiente especial… a lo mejor fue que todos estaban lindos vestidos! En realidad lo que se fue que se sintió mucha felicidad, unidad y un momento en familia agradable esta Navidad.

Sobre mi atuendo use un vestido negro con una minifalda que luego se convertía en una falta larga por la parte de atrás de Zara, el cual acompañe con una correa antigua a la cintura y sandalias Michael Kors. Por la parte de accesorios use dos anillos de serpiente de SEPTIMO JEWELRY, de colores plata oscura y un oro verde los cuales combine para crear un efecto mas impactante en mis manos. La diseñadora Silvia Fassardi reside en Miami y quien es reconocida por grandes diseñadores del mundo de la moda como Carolina Herrera solo vende sus diseños en Venezuela en una tienda concept en Valencia , la cual es una de mis grandes adoraciones, Fatua -> @fatuavalencia – http://fatua.com.ve

Kitty goes High Fashion!

Y que mas se podía esperar de una gatita tan fabulosa como Hello Kitty que ser la protagonista de la portada de una de las revistas de moda mas importantes del mundo, Elle Magazine. La reina de caricaturas convertida en icono de accesorios para toda las edades y ahora reina de la moda mundial, será la reina de Elle Taiwán para el próximo mes. Hay que celebrar a esta diva que cada día llega mas lejos en el mundo con su mini imperio.

What more can you expect of such a fabulous kitty like Hello Kitty but to have her own fashion magazine cover for Elle Magazine. The queen of cartoons turn into accessory icons for all ages and now queen of the fashion world is the leading gal for Elle Taiwan cover next months. We must celebrate this diva that every day gets further in the world with her mini growing empire.

Happy Bday to my Favorite Man!

Hoy resulta ser el cumpleaños numero 59 de un gran señor. Este señor, Will, no solo es un gran medico… si es uno de esos doctores tipo Gregory House que no importa el reto siempre le consigue la solución. Un hombre que ha sido publicado internacionalmente por sus trabajos, investigaciones y opiniones en el área oncológica… El Will es sencillamente un hombre brillante. Además se puede decir que es una persona que a pesar de los obstáculos que la vida le ha impuesto, ha logrado sobrellevarlos con gracia, humildad y poco protagonismo ya que siempre su foco ha sido sus hijas, esposa y familia.

Vale destacar que este señor es mi PAPA y aunque puede que yo suene un poco imparcial les prometo que nada aquí lleva una gota de exageración. Mi viejo es un caballero! Un hombre de estilo desde su juventud y ahora con elegancia en sus anos sabios, Will es uno de los mejores hombres que este mundo tiene  y por eso le digo! FELIZ CUMPLE PA!TE QUIERO TE ADMIRO Y TE ADORO!!!

 

 

Today turns out to be the 59th bday of a great man. This man, Will, not only is a great doctor… he is one of those doctors like Gregory House that no matter the challenge, he always finds the solution. This man has being published internationally for his works, his investigations and opinions in the oncological area. Will is simply a brilliant man. Besides it can be said about this person that regardless of obstacles that life has imposed in him, he has managed to overcome them with grace and humility and has always focus on his daughters, wife and family.

It must be said that this sir is MY DAD and even though one my think I’m a little impartial, I promised you all that nothing said here is an exaggeration from the truth. My old man is a gentleman. A man with style in his youth and now elegance during his wise years, Will is one of the best man this world has, and that’s why I said HAPPY BDAY DAD! I LOVE YOU AND I ADMIRE YOU OH SO!

PINK TREE

Si bien entre trabajo y otros compromisos puedo vergonzosamente decir que no he celebrado mis “holidays favoritos que terminan un gran 2011 –  Halloween – Thanksgiving” voy a tratar de no dejar pasar estas navidades por alto, además que como Venezolana me gustaría decir que para estas fechas vengo llena de esperanza para lo que espero que sea un GRAN 2012 para mi País y por ende para mi. Pero continuando en enfocarnos en el espíritu navideño les presento mi “PINK CHRISTMAS TREE”… Aunque para muchos puede que suene un tanto exagerado el árbol muy bien elaborado por mi querida hermana Claudia Ramos @clauvramos y no solo es ultra chic y femenino es adorablemente navideño. Cada bambalina, bien brillante, de textura de espejo o con escarcha logran una estructura Hermosa y muy navideña. Es relajante sentarse en la sala y simplemente verlo! El olor a Pino Natural (como dice Claudia “el olor a Alpes”) el engañoso clima fresco en la sala de mi casa te envuelve a sentir el espíritu navideño. Feliz Diciembre! Nos estamos escribiendo.

If I have to admit that between work and other compromises I have obviated to celebrate some of my favorite holidays that closed a great 2011, Thanksgiving – Halloween, I will not let my Christmas Celebrations slip by. Moreover as a Venezuelan I like to say that for the holidays I come filled with hope for what I expect to be an AMAZING 2012 for my Country and as of consequence myself.  But continuing on focusing on the Christmas spirit I here present you my “PINK CHRISTMAS TREE”… even though for many might sound a tat much, the tree was well crafted by my dearest little sister Claudia Ramos @clauvamos, and not only is chic and feminine… its adorably Christmas like. Every detail, every ornament whether it’s glitter-ish, shiny or mirror like achieve together a beautiful pink Christmas structure. Its so relaxing to sit in the living room and just see it, The smell of Pine, or the smell of Alps as Claudia says, and the fresh acclimatize living room tricks me into feeling the Christmas Spirit in a very hot Venezuela.
