Hermes Panama and Centro-America selected me to be part of their communications media team as a blogger and sent me this super chic videos of their new campaign Long Live Sports so I can share it with you guys for the next couple of days. Cosmo Glow

Recently I was invited to celebrate the Cosmopolitan Magazine’s anniversary in Panama. Only women were invited to this party therefore the whole décor and motive was super feminine. Among the cool things they had, was a Rimmel London makeup station featuring Kate Moss (WE LOVE KATE MOSS). Also Samsung was giving away the cutest super high tech pink cameras… but I didn’t win oneL. National Clothing retailers were present among other products in the party and I thought it was nice, especially because Cosmopolitan was supporting national brands. The theme of the party was glow in the dark for a night with Cosmopolitan so then I wore a neon orange Marc by Marc Jacobs pencil skirt, a open back black BCBGMAXAZRIA shirt, a pair of “dominatrix” style sandals I bought a few years back made by L.A.M.B and a Rebecca Minkoff mac messenger bag. It was a fun night.

Recientemente fui invitada a celebrar el aniversario de la revista Cosmopolitan en Panamá. Fue una fiesta para mujeres únicamente, tenía una estación de maquillaje de lo más linda de la marca Rimmel “London” y su campaña publicitaria con la reconocida Kate Moss (AMAMOS A KATE MOSS). Por otra parte, la marca Samsung estaba rifando unas cámaras color rosa de lo más lindas y de última tecnología… pero no me gane ni una!.

Los fabricantes de ropa de la región también estuvieron presente entre otros productos, pero me pareció importante la presencia de marcas panameñas en el evento, siempre es importante impulsar y apoyar el mercado local. El tema de la fiesta era brilla en la oscuridad por una noche con Cosmopolitan, así que me puse una falda de corte recto de la colección de primavera 2012 de Marc by Marc Jacobs color naranja fluorescente, una franela de espalda abierta de BCBGMAXAZRIA, un par de sandalias estilo “dominatrix” que compre hace unos años de la marca L.A.M.B y una cartera Mac de Rebecca Minkoff. Fue una noche divertida!

 

Just to Honor…

The least I could do was a drink a Red Bull after Felix Baumgartner skydive from the stratosphere from 39thousand meters high (127,000 ft). I mean him and the Red Bull Stratos team are by the far the bravest most outrageous people on earth… I have to skydive before the year comes to an end. This was a complete inspiration.

Lo mínimo que podía hacer después de que Félix Baumgartner hiciera un salto de caída libre desde la estratosfera a una distancia de mas de 39mil metros de altura era tomarme un Red Bull. Este hombre y el Equipo Red Bull Stratos pueden que sean las personas más valientes y a su vez más increíbles es este planeta. Antes que termine el año debo realizar un salto en paracaídas, toda esta hazaña sirvió de inspiración

Thank you Steve!

En ocasiones yo soy alguien bastante poco tolerante cuando alguien de renombre fallece y se crea un efecto masivo lamentando su muerte. Entiendo que hay personas que llegan al corazón de mucha gente pero esto nunca me había pasado hasta que murió Steve Jobs.

Solo basta con decir Gracias al hombre que me dio mis instrumentos de trabajo, mis instrumentos del día a día. Gracias al hombre quien no solo pensó en la tecnología pero en la estética amigable de la misma!

Recuerdo mi primera MAC. Creo que era una sophomore en la universidad y sin mentirles sentí que había obtenido el artefacto mas preciado cuando venia a tecnología, de hecho creo que mis notas en la universidad mejoraron! Hoy en día mi trabajo se hace mas fácil usando una MAC, es mas creo que hacerlo sin usa se tornaría tedioso y hasta pareciera imposible.

Steve Jobs nos dio la tecnología mas bonita y mas amigable de usar y de corazón lamento su muerte por que el si es alguien cuyo trabajo ha afectado mi vida de una forma positiva ha sido este señor.

Siempre te vamos a extrañar y siempre te vamos a recordad.

Thank You Steve!

I think I turn out to be someone with little tolerance when a celebrity or someone of renown name dies. I have had difficulty understanding why would so many people feel identify with one stranger’s death, but now I do understand that there are certain personalities whose life’s works gets to people’s heart. This is how I feel about the passing of Steve Jobs.

Needless to say thank you to the man who has giving me all my work gadgets, moreover my day-to-day tools of surviving. I want to thank him because not only he thought of technology but also he thought of the beauty of it.

I remember my first MAC; I think I was a sophomore in College, and to be extremely honest at that I felt as if I had bought the most precious technological gadget. I even think such an inspiration help my grades improved! Now days working without a MAC seem impossible, unimaginable and it would freak me out a little.

Steve Jobs gave us the prettiest and most friendly technology to work with and from the bottom of my heart I feel his passing, because if someone’s life work has affected my life in a positive way has being the works of this man.

Always will be missed and always will be remember!

Un trio de robots pequeños japoneses van a participar en conjunto en el Triatlón de Hawái “Ironman race” el próximo mes para mostrar la fuerza interna de las baterías recargables de Panasonic!

El equipo de Panasonic va a usar un set de tres baterías recargables para que el mini robot nade las 2.4 millas, recorra en bicicleta las 112  miles y corra las 26.2 millas. El humanoide (robot) Evolta fue creado por Tomokata Takahshi.

Panasonic espera llegar a la línea final en una semana, o 168 horas, a medida que recarguen los set de baterías compartidos entre los tres humanoides la cantidad de veces necesaria.

El triatlón de Hawái es la serie mas reciente en varias campañas similares para mostrar el aguante y fuerza de las baterías EVOLTA.

Los humanoides han escalado el Gran Cañón, andado en bicicleta en la competencia de 24 horas Lemans y han caminado 500km de Tokio a Kioto en el Oeste de Japón.

El humanoide mide entre 23 y 25 cm (el que va a correr y andar en bicicleta), El que va a nadar mide 51 cm.

Una gran campaña publicitaria que mezcla el modismo del deporte con tecnología…

A trio of small Japanese robots will be working together in the Ironman triathlon race in Hawaii next month in order to show their inner strength on rechargeable batteries.

Panasonic will use one set of three rechargeable batteries for the whole 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride and 26.2-mile run to power the humanoid “Evolta”.

Creator Tomotaka Takahashi made the little robots.

Panasonic hopes to reach the finish line in one week, or 168 hours, by recharging the set of batteries shared by the three robots as many times as necessary during the race.

The Hawaii triathlon is the most recent event in a series of similar endurance campaigns to show off the strength of the Evolta line of batteries.

In the past, Evolta robots have scaled the Grand Canyon; ride a tiny tricycle in the Le Mans 24-hour race, and walked 500 kilometers from Tokyo to Kyoto in western Japan.

The Ironman cycling and running robots are 23 and 25 high while the swimming one is 51 centimeters long.

A pretty cool way to mix a fashionable sports with a high-tech innovations! Love it!

The End of an Era… Celebrating “El Maestro”

Sin ser amarillista sobre la noticia de Steve Job delegando su puesto como presidente ejecutivo de Apple a  su mano derecha Tim Cook, y respetando lo que se presume un problema de Salud, aquí les dejo unas fotos del maestro de la tecnología, el hombre que nos trajo comodidad tecnológica y belleza a la vez. Gracias Señor Jobs por darme los gadgets con más valor en mi historia de vida.

Avoiding tabloid style type of news about the resignation of Steve Job as executive president of Apple and delegating his position to his right hand, Tim Cook I here leave you some pictures honoring the master of technology. Respecting Mr. Jobs health, which presumably is the reason for his resignation, we ought to remember a man who combined the friendliest technology with beauty and style. Thank you Steve Jobs for giving the me the most valuable gadgets in the history of my life.

Free Art by a Google App

Most of us do not cherish how lucky we are, we take for granted all the possibilities we have to learn, to nurture ourselves with culture, to become more knowledgeable. I mean we literally live in a world where we have free access to practically everything and yet we limit ourselves to use the simplest forms of all these high-tech tools. But I’m not here to criticize how most of us use the internet, social networks and what not… I’m here to gladly inform you that as I was bored last night browsing the internet I discovered one of the chic-est Google apps!  Powered by Google we now have Art Project!

Art Projects lets you visit 17 of the greatest museums around the world for FREE; Full access to their most precious exhibit and the option to either explore the museum itself or see a separate online galleria of individual pieces of art that are showing currently at the museum.  It also provides the option of a visitor Guide which translates into a virtual walking in tour of the actual museum, just as if you were visiting live.

Personally I did enjoyed the Van Gogh Museum (Amsterdam) as well as the Rijksmuseum (Amsterdam as well). Everything from the Met in NYC to the State Tretyakov Gallery at Moscow each of these 17 Museums are a delight for eyes!  Saying I have a favorite impossible. Saying I loved this Google App… it’s obvious.

La mayoría de nosotros no valoramos la suerte que tenemos, de hecho pasamos por alto todas las posibilidades que el mundo interactivo hoy en día nos brinda para aprender, para nutrirnos de cultura. Continuo en decir, vivimos en un mundo donde literal y prácticamente tenemos acceso gratis a ilimitadas oportunidades de aprendizaje y nos limitamos a usar las herramientas más simples y menos nutritivas intelectualmente. Pero aquí no estoy para criticar como la mayoría de nosotros usamos el internet o las redes sociales, estoy aquí para feliz y gratamente contarles que aburrida la otra noche surfeando la web, conseguí una aplicación de Google que no solo está de lo más chic! Culturalmente es  inédita para nuestro crecimiento  personal en términos de arte. Les presento Art Project Powered by Google.

Art Projects te permite visitar 17 de los museos con más renombre en el mundo completamente GRATIS. Esta aplicación te permite tener un acceso completo a las exhibiciones más cotizadas del mundo y a su vez te permite visitar los interiores del museo por medio de un paseo virtual. Si deseas obviar el paseo virtual existe una presentación netamente concentrada en exponer las piezas de artes expuestas en el museo que visitas. Lo mas cool para mi, fue la visita virtual con un embajador del museo quien te habla a medida que vas “caminando” las instalaciones del mismo. Para muchos que no pueden visitar estos sitios es prácticamente como estar ahí!

Personalmente disfrute muchísimo el Museo Van Gogh igual que su compañero de ciudad el museo Rijksmuseum, ambos en Ámsterdam. Pero hay más, desde el Metropolitano en la ciudad de Nueva York, el State Treryakov Gallery en Moscú y cada de los museos restantes son un deleite para los ojitos!  Decir que me gusta uno como favorito imposible! Pero decir que ame esta Aplicación de Google más que obvio!
